Who is the Big Boss 17 Wild Card Entry from Korea?
With K-pop taking over the world, it comes as no surprise that the latest Big Boss Season 17 Wild Card entry is a Korean singer. For anyone who hasn’t been following the latest episodes of the show, Aoora or Park Min-jun entered the Big Boss house this December. And for those who have been watching, Aoora is already a favourite.
Who is this Wild Card entry from Korea?
Aoora is a singer-songwriter, rapper and composer from South Korea. He debuted in 2009 as a member of the K-pop group Double-A and was also a part of Aoora&Hoik. After working as a part of this group, he released his solo single “Body Party” in 2014 and marked his exit from Double-A.
So, how did a K-pop singer end up in B-town? The South Korean singer has been releasing mashups of Indian hits over the last couple of years. Having discovered Bollywood, he has been creating a lot of high-energy tracks that mix Korean and Indian music. His live performance of “Woh Kisna Hai” in Mathura this year won him a lot of fans from India as well. His posts on social media constantly express his love for Indian culture and has thus brought him to the attention of the audiences here.
Now as the wild card entry in Big Boss 17. he is already a popular contestant that almost everyone already loves. Despite the language barrier and some ridicule of his Hindi from some other participants. He is constantly trying to blend in and speaks in “simple Hindi” much to the audience’s delight.
