Bigg Boss 17 Winner Munawar Faruqui Hits 12 million on Instagram

Stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui has become talk of the town ever since he has won the winner’s trophy of Bigg Boss 17 earlier this week. He defeated the other four finalists to grab the coveted title.

Munawar, who is also known as the Dongriwala, enjoys a massive fanbase. His gameplay, approach to face challenges and the way he handled everything when targeted in the house, made him an ideal winner for the show. This marks his second reality show victory after winning Lock Upp in 2022 hosted by Kangana Ranaut.

Munawar received a grand and warm welcome by his thousands of his fans at Dongri in south Mumbai on Monday. Huge crowds gathered around his car, trying to click his pictures and shake hands with him.

Munawar’s popularity mounted post his stint in Bigg Boss 17. Before entering the show, his Instagram following was around 6 million, and now he crossed 12 million. He has become one of the highest followers from the seventh season.

Munawar took to Instagram and shared a picture while posing with the coveted trophy and Bigg Boss 17 host Salman Khan. He wrote, “Bohot bohot shukriya janta. Aapke pyaar aur support ke liye aakhir kar trophy Dongri aa hi gayi (A lot of thanks, people. With your love and support, the trophy finally reached Dongri).”

He also added, “Special thanks to Bade Bhai (big brother) @beingsalmankhan Sir for all your guidance. Saari #munawarkijanta aur #munawarkewarrior ka dil se shukriya #Karliya. (Thanks to #munawarkijanta and #munawarkewarrior from the bottom of my heart). We have done it.”
