Pratilipi's Dehati Ladke Takes a Comic Turn

Amazon miniTV, the free video streaming service, and Pratilipi, India’s premier digital storytelling platform, have introduced the comic adaptation of their latest hit series, Dehati Ladke. Following the recent success of the coming-of-age drama series on Amazon miniTV, the show’s vibrant characters and engaging storyline have now found a new home in the realm of comics.

The series, initially launched as a book on Pratilipi, has gained immense popularity for its heartwarming narrative, featuring a stellar cast including Kusha Kapila, Shine Pandey, Raghav Sharma, Tanish Neeraj, Saamya Jainn, and Aasif Khan. This captivating tale of self-discovery, dreams, and the essence of life is currently available exclusively on Amazon miniTV, accessible through Amazon’s shopping app, Fire TV, and the Play Store.

Set against the backdrop of Rajat’s journey from the simple village life in Gonda to the bustling cityscape of Lucknow, the comic adaptation of Dehati Ladke is now available for free on Pratilipi. The narrative takes readers on a nostalgic trip down memory lane, prompting reflections on carefree teen years, enduring college friendships, and the exhilaration of first love.

Ranjeet Kumar Singh, CEO/Co-founder of Pratilipi, expressed his enthusiasm for this creative venture, stating, “Bringing this slice-of-life series into the comic world has been an amazing and memorable experience. From the adaptation of a book to a series, and then to a comic, we are grateful for the support from Amazon miniTV in this journey. Pratilipi always strives to bring something unique to the table for comic lovers, and this venture has added yet another feather to our cap. We are extremely excited to see the response of readers for Dehati Ladke’s comic adaptation.”

Dehati Ladke, born from a bestselling Hindi novel, explores universal themes of friendship, first love, and life’s hardships through the lens of Rajat, played by Shine Pandey. The series, which debuted on Amazon miniTV on December 15, promises an enthralling tale of Rajat’s journey of self-discovery as he moves from a village to a big city, pursuing his dream of clearing the UPSC exams. The narrative unfolds as Rajat explores newfound freedom, builds friendships, experiences first love, all while balancing family pressures and staying true to his aspirations.
