Junaid Khan: Why is he not on Social Media?

Selfies and reels dominate, but Junaid Khan stays out of the grid. Gearing up for his theatrical debut, Loveyapa, the young actor shared his thoughts on why social media never became his thing. Like his father, Bollywood legend Aamir Khan, Junaid values privacy and prefers a more straightforward, quieter life.

He recently shared that social media never happened to him and has never been someone who takes many pictures or posts online. He had a Facebook account in college, and it’s still there, but he never shifted to Instagram. Junaid admits that parties and social events don’t appeal to him, so he’s comfortable staying out of the virtual spotlight.

What’s Loveyapa?

Interestingly, Loveyapa, directed by Siddharth P Anand, shows the chaos of the social media-driven generation. Junaid plays Gaurav, who falls in love with Bani, portrayed by Khushi Kapoor. The plot thickens when Bani’s father dares the couple to exchange phones, setting off a whirlwind of emotions. The movie explores themes of trust and secrets in a relationship, making it relatable to today’s youth.

Phantom Studios and AGS Entertainment produced Loveyapa, which will be released on February 7. The cast includes Ashutosh Rana, Tanvika Parlikar, Kiku Sharda, and others. The film is a Hindi remake of the Tamil hit Love Today (2022), which featured Pradeep Ranganathan and Ivana.

While Loveyapa is Junaid’s big-screen debut, he first appeared in Maharaj on Netflix in 2024. Based on the 1862 Maharaj Libel Case, the film was produced by Yash Raj Films and starred Jaideep Ahlawat, Sharvari, and Shalini Pandey.

Junaid isn’t stopping here.

He has another film in the pipeline, reportedly titled Ek Din, co-starring Sai Pallavi. Fans can expect its release in theatres in 2025.

For Junaid, acting takes precedence over online presence. As he prepares to make his mark in Bollywood, his unique perspective reminds us that not everyone needs the digital world to shine. In the middle of constant connectivity, his choice to remain private feels like a refreshing pause. Don’t you agree? Follow us for more such simple yet informative content!
