Qoruz Report shows 322% Growth in India's Influencer Economy

The Qoruz report reveals a 322% increase in the country’s influencer ecosystem over the last four years. The data shows how creators are shaping digital engagement, with influencers from 962,000 in 2020 to 4.06 million by the end of 2024.

Companies increasingly turn to creator-driven content to connect with audiences more authentically and engagingly.

Growth Across Categories

The gaming segment has seen explosive growth, rising 213% between 2020 and 2022 and reaching 467,000 gaming influencers by 2024. Meanwhile, the travel influencer community took a hit during the pandemic making a strong comeback, surging 212% in 2023. Another noteworthy category is parenting influencers, whose numbers steadily climbed from 87,000 in 2020 to 362,000 in 2024, reflecting a growing demand for content centred around family life.

Fashion continues to dominate as the largest influencer category, boasting 470,000 creators. Other segments are also catching up, infotainment and finance influencers have expanded significantly, reaching 203,000 and 232,000, respectively. Health and fitness influencers have doubled their presence to 295,000, while the food niche has bounced back to 242,000 influencers by 2024.
