Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s Dating Timeline

Hey Swifties! Have you been shipping Taylor with Travis as much as we have? 

While we wait for her next album, we can’t help but obsess over this romance!

The moment she sang “KARMA IS THE GUY ON THE CHIEFS COMING STRAIGHT HOME TO ME”, everyone’s been on the bandwagon for this being the endgame for Taylor. 

Now you’re probably a little curious about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce ‘s dating timeline; we’re here to serve!

July 2023:

Travis Kelce attended the Eras Tour at Arrowhead Stadium. He’s spotted in a private box, exchanging friendship bracelets with other fans. This was the first incident that linked the two publicly. 

About a week or two later, on an episode of his podcast “New Heights with Jason and Travis Kelce”, he revealed that he tried and failed to meet Taylor after the show on July 8th. On that episode, he shared, “If you’re up on Taylor Swift concerts, there are friendship bracelets, and I received a bunch of them being there, but I wanted to give Taylor Swift one with my number on it.” 

What better way to tell the whole world that he was interested and wanted her to have his number? In a WSJ Magazine interview later that year, he explained that he got some help from insiders after the podcast was released. Someone played Cupid and helped the two finally connect after his efforts at the concert failed. 

August 2023:

As we now know, they went on their first date in August. After staying in touch for a while, Taylor Swift finally agreed to a date with Travis Kelce in NYC. 

September 2023: In an interview with Andrew Siciliano, Travis confirmed his efforts to woo Taylor using the friendship bracelet. He went on to say that he meant what he intimated in the podcast but refused to reveal any more about his personal life during the show. 

On the 16th, ESPN reporter Adam Schefter playfully used song titles from Taylor’s music to comment on Travis Kelce. “Clearly, Travis Kelce, at this point in time, is trying to Shake It Off and get back out there. He knows how much he’s needed and that he’s The Man,” he said. 

The jokes continued on the 17th when NFL’s Rich Eisen kept throwing in a bunch of Taylor Swift references during his commentary as well. During the pre-game coverage, he says, “You saw it on Thursday night, when Travis Kelce wasn’t in there, it left a ‘blank space.” He also uploaded a post on Instagram with the caption “Look what you made me do, @killatrav.” Travis joined in the banter and acknowledged the wit by commenting, “Well played Rich…. Well Played.”

In some interviews that same month, his brother Jason Kelce was probed about the pair but only said, “I’ve seen these rumors, I cannot comment.” He initially evaded confirming any more by saying that he was not privy to much about his younger brother’s love life. However, he only ended up feeding the rumor mill by continuing, “Having said that, man, I think they’re doing great and I think it’s all 100% true, and I hope this thing goes a mile.” Jason Kelce finished by saying he was joking, but we’re glad to know he wasn’t. 

And the 24th was when we almost knew for sure that the two were a couple. Taylor attended the Kansas City Chiefs game and sat alongside Travis’s mother Donna. Fans watched as she cheered on the player and applauded a touchdown he scored. After the game, she walked out with him wearing Chiefs gear while Travis wore a blue and white outfit. 

After they made headlines by appearing together at the game, People magazine got insider info about them just hanging out and nothing being official yet. The game was the first time she met Travis’s family and they were all getting along well. 

On the 27th, Travis Kelce was back on his podcast with brother Jason and called Taylor ballsy for showing up to his game. He also talked about how his friends and family really enjoyed her company at the game and after, at the dinner she booked. 

October 2023:

Taylor attended Kelce’s Chiefs game against the New York Jets on the first at MetLife Stadium. She brought along close friends like Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and Sabrina Carpenter. Attending yet another game to cheer Travis on only fueled the fires in the dating rumor mill. (More importantly, Page Six reported that Kelce was seen leaving her apartment that morning.) 

On the 6th, Travis’s mom Donna Kelce was asked about Taylor on Today. She confirmed that they had a good time but refused to say much since it was a “fairly new” situation. That same day, he acknowledged that dating Taylor came with a lot of attention. However, he was positive about it and continued, “You’ve got a lot of people that care about Taylor, and for good reason.” 

Taylor attended her third Kansas City Chiefs game on the 12th and wore their merch in support. 

TMZ footage on the 14th showed the pair going to Nobu for dinner before heading to their cameos on the Saturday Night Live taping. 

On the 15th, Travis-Taylor were spotted arriving for the after-party at Catch Steak NYC. Much to the delight of Swifties, he was seen chivalrously helping her step out of the car as he held her hand. 

Traylor fans continued to live off the romance as Taylor attended another game on the 22nd while wearing a Chiefs crewneck. AND….she wore a friendship bracelet with Travis’s jersey number on it!

Travis was seen dancing to Shake It Off during the 2023 World Series in Arlington on the 27th. Another video surfaced with him belting out Love Story later that night. 

November 2023:

Taylor Swift has dinner with Travis and her father Scott Swift in Buenos Aires on the 10th. She was there for her Eras Tour and although Travis couldn’t attend the initial concert, he came to Argentina later that day. 

11th November was a biggie for Traylor fans! Travis attended the concert and was spotted hanging at the tent with Taylor’s father. Fans watched him throughout the show and videos were everywhere while he sang along to Blank Space and other songs. 

And the big moment that broke the internet finally happened; Taylor starts singing Karma and ends up changing the lyrics to scream “Karma is the guy on the Chiefs running straight home to me.” Swifties at the stadium could not hold their excitement in and cheered her on. More importantly, they managed to record Travis’s reaction as he blushed and laughed along with her dad. At the end of the concert, Taylor waved goodbye to her fans and ran straight into Travis’s arms to give him a kiss. 

And that day, according to us, is the start of their happy ever after! (*fingers crossed*)
