Rajkumar Hirani’s Debut Project On OTT To Star 12th Fail Fame Vikrant Massey

After garnering critical success with the Shah Rukh Khan-Tapsee Pannu starrer Dunki, filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani is gearing up to make his debut in the OTT space.

Hirani has roped in talented actor Vikrant Massey who is basking in the glory of his successful 12^th Fail. Vikrant will also be seen in Gaslight alongside Sara Ali Khan. He also has Phir Aayi Hasseen Dillruba, sequel to the Netflix film Haseen Dilruba with Taapsee Pannu.

Talking about Rajkumar’s OTT debut project, it is reportedly a web series which is directed by Amir Satyaveer Singh who has assisted Hirani in the past, revolves around cybercrime and the actor will be playing the role of cybercrime security expert.

Confirming the same, the 3 Idiots director exclusively told News18, “Certain stories require a long format approach and not make into a film. The one which we are working on currently (with Vikrant Massey in the lead) is something that we found during Covid times. I’ll be working as a showrunner on the series and so I’ll be completely involved on the show. It is something that I am very happy about as I am excited about the script and the way it has panned out.”

For me, the platform doesn’t matter!

When asked if he would like to make his OTT debut as a director, he shared, “Yes, I’d love to someday have a story to tell. But honestly, for me the platform doesn’t matter. If it is for a television, it should be on TV or if it is a long format, make it for OTT.”

While the details of the show have been kept under wraps, the makers plan to shoot it over a two-month long schedule. The series is going to go on floors next month and it will be Massey’s fourth web series after Mirzapur, Broken But Beautiful and Criminal Justice.
