National Creators Award: Meet The Nominees For Best Creative Creators

The Government of India has recently announced the nominees for the National Creators Award which recognizes the contribution of digital content creators in driving positive social change and innovation.

The government has encouraged the role of influencers and creators in shaping the society and economy, but this is the first time that awards have been singularly initiated to recognize their contribution.

Social media influencers such as Dharna Durga, Ankit Baiyanpuria and Komal Pandey, and actors Katrina Kaif, Kangana Ranaut and Yash are among the over 200 creators nominated across domains like storytelling, social change advocacy, environmental sustainability, education, gaming and others for National Creators Awards.

In a social media post last month, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said the National Creators Award would honour the talent of youngsters who are driving innovation. He posted on X, “Social media has helped a lot in showcasing people’s skills and talents. Youngsters in India are doing wonders in the field of content creation. To honour their talent, the National Creators Award has been initiated.”

The voting lines have been shut and the winners will be announced based on a fusion of jury evaluations and public mandates. The event will be hosted by YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia and stand-up comedian Zakir Khan who are among the nominees in the Best Storyteller Award category.

National Creators Award will live stream on 8 March at 10.30AM with our beloved PM Narendra Modi becoming the highlight of the event.
