Munmun Dutta 'Refutes' News Of Engagement With Raj Anadkat

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat  reportedly got engaged earlier this month, but Dutta trashed the news today.

According to a report by News18 Showsha, Munmun, 36, and Raj, 27, exchanged rings in a private ceremony earlier this month in Gujarat, with their families in attendance.

A source close to the actors was quoted telling News18, “The engagement took place just a few days back. Apparently, the duo exchanged rings in Vadodara (Gujarat). Munmun and Raj’s families have accepted their relationship and they were also present at the ceremony. Munmun and Raj have been dating from the time Raj had joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

However, Munmun has refuted the rumours and stated that the news is utterly ridiculous and that she does not want to waste her energy on something so absurd. She was quoted in India Forums as saying, “This is utterly ridiculous! There’s not an ounce of truth to any of this. I refuse to waste my energy and attention on such fake news.”

Munmun Dutta had earlier denied dating rumours while Raj had put up a long post in 2021 about it. Dismissing the dating buzz, he wrote, “To everyone, who has been constantly writing about me, THINK of the repercussions that can happen in my life because of your ‘COOKED UP’ (false) stories and that too about my life without my consent. All the creative people out there please channelise your creativity somewhere else it will be helpful to you. May God bless them with good sense.”

Munmun also hit back at trolls who commented on her personal life. Her Instagram post read, “13 years of entertaining people and it didn’t take 13 minutes for anyone of you to rip my dignity apart. So next time someone is clinically depressed or driven to take their own lives, pause and think whether it was YOUR WORDS that drove that person to the edge or not. Today, I am ashamed of calling myself a daughter of India.”

Munmun continues to impress masses with her character portrayal as Babitaji while Raj who has over 2 million followers on Instagram treats his followers with his engaging posts on travel and fashion.
