Munmun Dutta Says ‘Not Engaged, Not Married, Not Pregnant’

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actors Munmun Dutta and Raj Anadkat’s engagement news spread like wildfire earlier this week. However,  the duo soon dismissed the news, calling it fake.

Munmun refuted the rumours and had stated that the news is utterly ridiculous and that she does not want to waste her energy on something so absurd. She was quoted in India Forums as saying, “This is utterly ridiculous! There’s not an ounce of truth to any of this. I refuse to waste my energy and attention on such fake news.”

Raj Anandkat also reacted to it through a social media post that read, “Hello, everyone. Just to clear things up, the news you’ve been seeing on social media is false and baseless. Team Raj Anadkat.”

However, it looks like Munmun is still being questioned about her engagement despite giving a clarification. This morning, Munmun Dutta shared a couple of stories on her Gram, putting an end to the fake news. She wrote, “Funny how FAKE news spread like wildfire and keeps coming back like a boomerang. Putting things straight again! Not engaged, not married, not pregnant.”

In another post, she wrote, “Also, IF and WHEN I do marry, whether a younger man or an older one I shall do it PROUDLY. Honey! That’s my bengali genes. Always proud and brave. Joi Maa Durga.”

Munmun concluded by saying, “Not gonna be putting my energy to fake things anymore. Moving on to better things in life. God is kind and Life is beautiful.”

On March 13, News 18 reported that Munmun Dutta and Raj Anandkat had exchanged rings in a private ceremony earlier this month in Gujarat, with their families in attendance. It was also reported that Munmun and Raj’s families have accepted their relationship and they were also present at the ceremony. Munmun and Raj have been dating from the time Raj had joined the cast of  Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah.

For those uninitiated, Munmun continues to impress audiences with her character portrayal as Babitaji in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah while Raj who has over 2 million followers on Instagram treats his followers with his engaging posts on travel and fashion.

Munmun has been part of the cast of Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah for several years now, having joined the show in 2008 as Babita Krishnan Iyer, when she was just 21. She has appeared as a guest on Indian Idol 10, Bigg Boss 15 and The Khatra Khatra Show.
