Update: Elvish Yadav’s Bail Granted In Snake Venom Case

Here’s a big update on Elvish Yadav’s snake venom case. As we know the Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish was arrested on March 17 by the Noida Police after which he was sent to 14 days of judicial remand under the WildLife Protection Act 1972. Initially, Elvish’s bail was rejected however the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985, was imposed on Elvish which was later removed. Now, as per latest update, Elvish Yadav has been granted bail by the Noida Court after five days of arrest.

Though, his Lawyer Prashant Rathi while speaking to ANI mentioned that it is not yet confirmed when Yadav would be released from the jail as the bail proceedings will take its time. He also said that the court has granted bail on two sureties of Rs 50,000 each.

When the reporter questioned his courtroom arguments, Rathi responded by stating that they informed the judge about their belief in a conspiracy to implicate his client, Elvish Yadav. He emphasized that no evidence related to the NDPS Act was found.

‘Bigg Boss 17’ contestant and YouTuber, Anurag Dhobal confirming the news of Elvish Yadav’s bail, wrote on X, “Uppar waala kabhi galat nahi karega (folded hands and heart emojis) Bail Granted.”

For the unversed, in November last year, Elvish was booked by the Noida Police for allegedly using snake venom at a rave party. The police had found 20 ml of snake venom, additionally they recovered five cobras, a python, two two-headed snakes, and a rat snake. Yadav was questioned for around two hours by the Noida police for several hours. Based on a complaint filed by the People For Animals (PFA) organisation, the Noida police raided a banquet hall located in Sector 51 and arrested five people, Rahul, Titunath, Jaikaran, Narayan and Ravinath.

After the arrest of Elvish Yadav, Uttar Pradesh police apprehended two more suspects on Wednesday in connection with a case involving snake venom smuggling. The arrested individuals, identified as Ishwar and Vinay, are both residents of Haryana. The police suspect the involvement of more people in the illicit trade.
