Curious Case of Bigg Boss OTT 3; Is The Show On Track?

The speculations and uncertainties around Bigg Boss OTT season 3 don’t seem to end. The fate of the new season continues to hang in the balance.

After the high-security fire incident that took place outside Salman Khan’s Galaxy residence in Mumbai’s Bandra, host Salman Khan’s chances to host the show now look uncertain. On the other hand, Endemol India had put up an announcement post of Bigg Boss OTT 3, later deleted, leaving fans puzzled!

In a post, Endemol India asked ‘Who do you want to see in Bigg Boss OTT?’ The deletion of this post has sparked speculation among fans about whether the new season will go ahead.

Third season to have a new host?

However, there are reports that the show is likely returning with a third season and that the makers are giving the host’s role to one of the notable Bigg Boss contestants from previous seasons. The names floating around are those of social media stars Elvish Yadav, Manisha Rani, or Abhishek Malhan.

The Khabri page on Instagram has also shared that the new season of Bigg Boss OTT will air in the first week of June. However, as per the report in Indian Express, the upcoming season of Bigg Boss OTT won’t be free to stream.

Bigg Boss OTT season 3 viewing will be chargeable?

Reportedly, Bigg Boss OTT that streams on JioCinema will be a paid service this year. This means viewers will have to subscribe to a plan if they want to watch the new season of the reality show. The report also mentions that the Jio team is planning to make the big announcement on April 25.

We learn that work on the Bigg Boss OTT set has already begun. As of now, the tentative contestants list doing the rounds includes names like Vicky Jain, Maxtern, Thugesh, Shehzada Dhami, Pratiksha Honmukhe, Sreerama Chandra, Sheezan Khan, Arhaan Behll, among others.

Bigg Boss OTT Season 1 was streamed live on Voot. Filmmaker Karan Johar hosted the show, and Divya Agarwal took home the trophy.

Bigg Boss OTT season 2 was more inclined towards creators, with more YouTubers and social media stars participating in the show. Salman Khan took over hosting duties, and the show was streamed exclusively on Jio Cinema. Youtuber Elvish Yadav emerged as the winner.
