A Bengali Creator Using Storytelling to Build a Community: Preeti Sarkar

Preeti Sarkar, a Bengali content creator, is quite well-recognized for her engaging (and mostly hilarious) content. In addition to her work as a creator, Preeti is also an actor, having played a wide variety of roles in theatre, television, and cinema. Although she is less active on YouTube, she regularly posts on Instagram, where she has 416K followers. According to her Instagram bio, Preeti has two moods: “Angry and filmy.” She identifies herself as a content creator, actor, and designer. Drawing inspiration from international films, classic books, and modern art movements, she believes that storytelling can connect individuals from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Preeti frequently collaborates with other artists, providing behind-the-scenes looks at her creative process. She interacts with her audience through interactive storytelling, creating a dynamic and engaging experience for her followers. Recently, Preeti shared a fun video with content creator Zorawar Singh Ahluwalia, ex-husband of Kusha Kapila, which received praise from her fans. Their on-screen chemistry and entertaining videos have been well-received.

Last year, Preeti shared exciting news with her fans about shooting her first TV commercial for Pantaloons (in Bengali). She expressed her joy by sharing a behind-the-scenes video from the set, where she looked happy and gleeful.

She also appeared on Zee Bangla’s popular quiz show “Dadagiri,” hosted by Sourav Ganguly, where she served as a captain. In an Instagram post, Preeti mentioned that being part of the show was a dream come true for her. After all, which Bengali wouldn’t love being in the same room as Dada?

2024 has been a successful year for Preeti, with the release of her first film, “Tillotama,” a Bengali movie in which she was a cast member. She shared a video on Instagram from the film’s premiere, where she looked radiant in a golden saree.

In addition to her creative pursuits, Preeti is an entrepreneur. She owns a clothing brand called “Preetizen,” where she sells customized clothes ranging from sarees and traditional wear to casual and western outfits. She designs the clothes herself and ships them all over India.

Preeti Sarkar continues to work on new acting projects while expanding her presence as a content creator. She aims to explore diverse roles in the entertainment industry and create more engaging content for her audience.
