Prajakta Koli Runs 10KM Marathon For IOC at Paris Olympics

Indian content creator and actor Prajakta Koli gets invited to join the IOC (International Olympic Committee) for their “Let’s Move” campaign. Prajakta has made her mark in history as the only Indian content creator and non-sporting Indian celebrity to collaborate with the IOC at their first-mass running event held this year. This partnership is a key part of the IOC’s initiative to promote sports, equality, and sustainability while engaging with younger audiences.

Prajakta Koli participated in the Marathon Pour Tous during the Olympic Games on August 10, 2024. This 10-kilometer night run was held on the streets of Paris, marking a historic first for the Olympics.

She also accomplished a major milestone by completing her first-ever race. She celebrated the achievement by posting a carousel of photos on Instagram, proudly displaying her medal. Prajakta completed the 10K run in under 1.34 hours and shared her excitement in the caption, writing, “Ran my first 10K at the @olympics Marathon Pour Tous and FINISHED IT. Good effing job, P!”

While speaking to Mint from Paris, she shared that she was among 10 celebrities selected for the event from “different walks of life” representing different creative fields and countries. She said, “It’s crazy how much the creator economy in India has grown, that now creators like me get opportunities that are beyond our expectations.”

She also spoke about how sports and fitness have been a vital part of her life. “For me, fitness is more of a mental exercise. The days when I work out and go for my run, I am more productive, happier, and creative and I have better energy,” Koli said. “A huge chunk of my everyday work as a creator depends on my fitness journey.”
