Not Your Typical Riding Influencers: Must-Follow Women Bikers

Biking isn’t just for men; these ten inspiring Indian women bikers prove it daily! They all come from diverse backgrounds but share a passion for motorcycles. These riders lead the way as women continue challenging norms and embracing traditionally male-dominated spaces. This International Women’s Day, celebrate their journey and let their love for biking inspire you to chase your passions!

Jesslina Nayyar – Model and actor

For Nayyar, biking isn’t just a hobby; it’s her career. Acting and modelling involve much travelling, as does biking, so she combines the two. Whether heading to an audition or a shoot, she prefers taking her motorcycle, making the journey as thrilling as the destination.

Her love for riding began at 18, fueled by the desire for freedom on the open road. Before owning a bike, she would borrow a friend’s and ride for hours from Noida to Gurgaon with friends as pillion riders. Her passion eventually merged with her profession when she starred in a campaign for Royal Enfield, an opportunity that perfectly aligned with her identity as a biker.

Now, with over eight years of experience, Nayyar ensures she makes time for what she loves, setting aside dedicated days just for riding because it’s more than just a mode of transport; it’s a way of life.

Anita Krishnan – Tour captain

Krishnan has transformed her love for riding into a full-fledged career, balancing life as a part-time model and a full-time rider. As the Women’s Expedition Tour Captain at Two Wheeled Expeditions, she leads motorcycle enthusiasts on thrilling journeys across India, having successfully guided over 20+ tours nationwide. She also heads the India division of the Women’s International Motorcycling Association, championing women riders nationwide.

Though she first learned to ride in college, Krishnan didn’t actively pursue biking until later in life. Thanks to the inspiration of another woman rider. A chance discovery of a biking event on Facebook rekindled her passion, setting her on the path to becoming a seasoned motorcyclist.

With over eight years of experience, she took on her most demanding challenge yet: riding through the unforgiving Himalayan terrain in sub-zero temperatures, navigating snow and black ice at -10°C.

Dr Neharika Yadav – Dental surgeon

Dr Neharika Yadav defies conventions by balancing her career as a dental surgeon with her passion for superbike racing. On weekdays, she runs a dental clinic in Gurgaon, but on weekends, she takes on the track as a Ducati Factory Racer at the Buddh International Circuit.

Her journey hasn’t been without challenges. After a car accident in 2005 left her with only 50% movement in her right hand, she refused to give up on her dreams. Racing at speeds of up to 275 kmph, she has become a role model for aspiring female racers, proving that determination can make women rule in the male-dominated world of motorsports.

Priyanka Kochchar – Content creator

Priyanka Kochhar’s journey into biking was anything but conventional. Before becoming a full-time bike blogger with her platform Bike With Girl, she was an editorial model and anchor producer. Coming from a conservative family with no background in biking, she faced criticism for pursuing her passion, but that didn’t stop her.

Kochhar turned to YouTube during her career uncertainty to learn about bikes and their mechanics. She started borrowing motorcycles from friends and documenting her experiences on Instagram. Today, with over 2 million followers on Instagram and 560K on YouTube, she has made a mark in biking, taking on the challenge of riding a new bike daily.

Anam Hashim– Stunt biker

Hashim’s love for two-wheelers knows no bounds! In 2015, she became one of the first women to conquer Khardung La, one of the world’s highest motorable roads, on a TVS Scooty, a feat that earned her a spot in the India Book of Records.

In 2016, she became India’s youngest female stunt biker, and by 2017, she had made history as the only Indian stunt athlete to win an international stunt competition. Through social media, Hashim inspires aspiring riders determined to pave the way for women in stunt riding, a sport still in its infancy in India.

Roshni Sharma – Test automation engineer

Roshni Sharma‘s passion for biking knows no borders! She made history as the first Indian woman to ride from Kanyakumari to Leh, proving that no road is too tough to conquer. But she didn’t stop there; after mastering Indian terrains, she took on the world, riding across Europe and exploring places like Amsterdam, Malta, and beyond. Her journey is a fearless adventure on two wheels!

These fearless women bikers have shattered old roads and created their paths for biking.
