Humans Of New York founder criticizes Karishma Mehta: Humans of Bombay
‘Humans Of Bombay’ (HOB), a popular social media platform known for sharing stories of individuals from Mumbai, has taken legal action against ‘People Of India’ (POI), a similar platform featuring stories from across India, citing copyright infringement. HOB asserts that POI has replicated its content, including its logo, tagline, and story format.
This dispute has stirred controversy in the realm of social storytelling, drawing attention from Brandon Stanton, the founder of ‘Humans of New York,’ who expressed his disappointment. Founded by Karishma Mehta in 2014, HOB has gained recognition for its distinctive storytelling approach, which captures the lives of Mumbai’s residents and shares their experiences through social media posts and a dedicated website.
