Creator Ricky Pond, famously known as the ‘Dancing Dad’ for his lively and entertaining videos, is currently in India with his son Dallin. A graphic designer by profession, Ricky lives in Washington with his wife and four children, but his heart seems to have found a second home in India, where he enjoys a massive fanbase. Ricky rose to fame by dancing to international tunes, with a special fondness for Indian music, often featuring his family in the videos. His joyful, carefree dance style and ability to connect with people across cultures have made him a global favorite.

During their visit to Mumbai, the “City of Dreams,” the duo couldn’t miss out on the iconic Gateway of India. Ricky and Dallin grooved to the hit song “Ban Than Chali” at this famous landmark, and the resulting video is extremely fun! Sharing the clip, Ricky humorously captioned it, “Not sure who drew the biggest crowd, #gateway of india or @dallin.pond, and me having a bit of fun.”

When ‘Dancing Dad’ met ‘Dancing Cop’

Their Mumbai adventure didn’t stop there. Ricky also met Bhabiji Ghar Par Hai actor Rohitashv Gour, where he playfully delivered the show’s famous line, “Sahi Pakde Hai!” The father-son duo then teamed up with Mumbai’s famous ‘dancing cop’ Amol Kamble for a fun dance session.

They then immersed themselves in another aspect of Indian culture by visiting a bangle-making factory, where the staff gifted them a box of bangles as a token of love. The duo also binged on Mumbai’s famous snack, vada pav, and thoroughly enjoyed the taste of this Indian burger. 15 years of YouTube in India: Fanfest 2023
