MrBeast’s Engagement to YouTuber Thea Booysen!

YouTuber MrBeast announced his engagement to his girlfriend, Thea Booysen. He shared photos of when he got down on his knee on Christmas Day. MrBeast is the most popular YouTuber globally, holding 340m subscribers on YouTube. Thea, on the other hand, has over 40,000 subscribers on her YouTube channel, TheaBeasty. 

MrBeast and Thea chose to wear matching Christmas sweaters on their special day. In the pictures shared on Instagram, the couple is surrounded by their loved ones during their engagement celebration. Thea’s family flew out from South Africa for Christmas, and they would do Christmas at their house in the USA, so both of their families were there. While opening presents, Mr Beast asked her to close her eyes for the last present because it was a surprise.” MrBeast intentionally dropped a large box to make noise before presenting the actual gift with the ring inside.

The YouTuber is now hosting his reality competition, Beast Games, which has a record-breaking cash prize of INR 42.5 crore. His friends thought he’d propose in a vast, public way, like at the Super Bowl, but he wanted it to be the complete opposite, something personal and unique. The couple decided that they were not planning a big wedding.

They’re considering doing it somewhere on an island far away from just about everybody. It is clear they are not going to have a big, extravagant wedding. It will be nice, but it will certainly be intimate with close family and friends. Meanwhile, MrBeast fans expressed their disappointment over the size of the engagement ring he chose for his girlfriend. 

While many expected a lavish display, considering MrBeast’s history of lavish gestures, the ring has sparked mixed reactions. Some fans feel it doesn’t match the scale of his usual over-the-top style, while others appreciate the more understated, personal choice.

“Bro is a billionaire but got her an $800 ( INR 68,531) stuller solitaire. I’m speechless,” a user wrote on X.  Another user shared a screenshot of the ring and claimed it was worth $950 ( INR 81,380). Despite the differing opinions, it’s clear that the couple’s engagement remains a moment of joy and celebration.
