Orry- The Reel Stars

Social media darling and Bollywood celebrities’ favourite Orhan Awatramani, aka Orry, made some bloomers when he was called as guest on Malaika Arora and Arbaaz Khan’s son Arhaan Khan’s newly launched video podcast series titled Dumb Biryani.

During the interview, Orry spoke about how he was in awe of ‘Mohini Roy’s role in the film ‘Bramarama’. He meant actress Mouni Roy and the film ‘Brahmastra’, which internet users decoded, but no one on the show corrected him. Orry went on to recall how he FaceTimed with ‘Mohini Roy’ with Guru Randhawa.

He said, “I manifested Mohini Roy once, and it worked. Mohini Roy, you know Mohini Roy? I’m not too well-versed in Bollywood movies, because I don’t speak Hindi well, so I usually watch if it’s a really good movie or if my friends are in it. But when I watched Bramarama, and I saw Mohini Roy’s character, I was f**king impressed. I’ve gone to see the movie four times just to watch her scenes. When her scenes ended, I would be like, ‘S**t, Mohini’s scenes ended’.”

He continued, “Eventually, one day, my friend Guru Randhawa called me on FaceTime because he was with her, and she FaceTimed me, and eventually she added me on Instagram. I basically manifested Mohini, and now we’re really good friends.” While Arhaan claimed to know who ‘Mohini Roy’ is, others in the comments section were puzzled by Orry’s story. “Mohini?? Brahma…what?” one person wrote. Another commented, “Mohini Roy Brahamana?? Yaaaaar I actually searched who is Mohini Roy… Then I came to know he is talking about Mouni Roy and it’s Brahmastra.” A third person commented, “And I thought she was someone from Punjab industry plus and old lady.”

Reacting to this, Malaika Arora commented, “BRAMARAMAAAAAAA.” While another said, “Mohini Roy got me.”

Before Orry, actress Sonam Kapoor also made a goof-up by calling Brahmastra ‘Shiva No 1’ in Koffee With Karan.

The first episode of Dumb Biryani episode featured his dad Arbaaz Khan and uncle Sohail Khan. The second episode saw his mother Malaika Arora gracing the show.

Arhaan is Malaika’s son with ex-husband and actor-producer Arbaaz Khan. Malaika and Arbaaz were married for 19 years and they got divorced in 2017. They continue to co-parent their son Arhaan. Arbaaz Khan married make-up artist Shura Khan in December last year. While Malaika has been in a steady relationship with Arjun Kapoor for quite some time now.

Talking about Arhaan, he was born in 2002, studied filmmaking in the US, and has previously assisted Karan Johar on a film project.
