Orry signed on by Karan Johar’s Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA)
Orhan Awatramani, who goes by the moniker of Orry in social media circles, has always been savvy when it comes to marketing his persona. Orry has now taken his personal branding game a notch higher by signing up with Dharma Cornerstone Agency (DCA), a joint collaboration between filmmaker Karan Johar and Bunty Sajdeh.
DCA has an impressive influencer marketing portfolio that includes the likes of Janhvi Kapoor, Sara Ali Khan, Tiger Shroff, Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday. Orry’s addition to this roster means we will get to see more of the ‘influencer without a cause’ across platforms and brand collabs. In his now famous session on Koffee With Karan at the fag end of the show’s season, Orry had told Karan Johar that ‘there were multiple Orrys’ in his office.
He has a “relevance room” in his office where his “minions” dress up as him and think as him. These minions, who are Orry 2, Orry 3, or Orry 4, pitch ideas on how to keep him relevant. He has managed to create a mystery around his occupation, referring to himself as a “liver” who works on himself. His “relevance room” is a room in his office where anyone can participate. He also told Johar that in the relevance room, “we are planning my demise, my digital demise.”
The Case Of The ‘Digital Demise’
In typical Orry style, he said that the Orry-ians want to witness his fall very soon, awaiting the right idea to mark the end of his 15 minutes of fame. “Very soon. We’re waiting for the right idea and then the 15 minutes will be up.”
Whether he was alluding to the new collaboration with DCA, we shall never know. For now, Orry has said in a statement, “I have been working on creating a strong brand presence for myself and partnering with Dharma Cornerstone Agency is a significant milestone for me personally and professionally. I am thrilled to embark on this journey alongside Karan Johar and the incredible team at DCA. Together, we aim to push boundaries, break stereotypes, and create meaningful opportunities across various domains.”
DCA’s Kim Sharma, EVP – New Media added,”Orry represents the epitome of the modern-day influencer dynamic with his creativity and forward-thinking. We are delighte to welcome him to our family at DCA. This association not only strengthens our presence in influencer marketing but also fosters trust in us.”
Orry Strengthens DCA Roster
Orry’s decision to join DCA signifies a strategic move towards expanding his influence beyond the digital space. With his unique blend of creativity, authenticity, and market acumen, he is poised to redefine the landscape of celebrity management, bringing a fresh perspective to the industry, says the company.
We can now expect groundbreaking collaborations, innovative projects, and unparalleled creativity. As he continues to leave an indelible mark on the Indian entertainment landscape. He has earlier this year collaborated with Mentos , the Bigg Nerds and other brands last year. And appeared on Bigg Boss 17 in late 2023, stumping even the quick witted host Salman Khan with his repartee.
Orry burst onto the Indian entertainment landscape only in late 2023. Moreover, And getting photographed with celebs and celeb kids, who he claims to have a strong kinship with. With an eclectic taste in clothes, quirky hair and quirkier poses, Orry wormed his way into public consciousness. However, mystery continues to shroud the antecedents of this 28 year old who had made himself famous without any reason. With the collaboration with DCA, Orry appears to have ensured that his notoriety will last for a while, definitely.
