Rajiv Adatia Says ‘Paparazzi Culture’ Affects Actors’ Mental Health
Social media influencer, model and businessman Rajiv Adatia tasted fame with his stint in Bigg Boss 15 and also participated in Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi 12. Rajiv shares a great camaraderie with TV and Bollywood stars and is often spotted at their parties.
Rajiv is an avid Bigg Boss fan and has been quite vocal about his thoughts throughout the season. He is also great at mimicking and got applauded for imitating Bigg Boss 17 contestant Vicky Jain’s mother Ranjana Jain.
Rajiv’s latest post on social media suggests how these days the ‘blooming’ paparazzi culture is affecting actors’ mental health.
Being an artist is about your craft! Not about how much you are being clicked!
He wrote, “One of the main reasons Celebs having mental health issues is this. Life is consumed by just being clicked! Which page is it coming on? Why are people not liking? Why are people trolling? It’s has a major effect on peoples confidence and mental health. Being an artist is about your craft! Not about how much you being clicked!
I’ve been through this I’m telling you first hand.. you start doubting yourself. You think maybe people don’t like you anymore. What are you doing wrong! But why?? Why are we doubting ourselves!
Don’t get me wrong I love the Media and the Paps they have always been kind to me and always been so supportive but It’s the harsh reality of the Industry we are in! We think if we don’t get papped or don’t get seen we are not in the industry! 20 years ago there was no mobiles and no phones! People were still stars! Why don’t we believe and trust ourselves!
Obviously when we are promoting something or at an event or a birthday I get it… it’s makes sense! But all the time everywhere like really?? Be confident in who you are! You don’t need validation from anyone to know who you are!.” (sic)
