As the year comes to a close, Spotify has unveiled its much-anticipated annual Spotify Wrapped. The global streaming giant not only shares individual listening insights but also sheds light on the hottest artists and tracks that dominated the charts throughout 2023.

On the global stage, Taylor Swift emerged as the reigning queen, securing the title of the most-streamed artist with a staggering 26.1 billion streams worldwide. Swift was closely followed by heavyweights like Drake, Morgan Wallen, the Weeknd, and Bad Bunny, each leaving an indelible mark on the global music scene.

Meanwhile, in the heart of music diversity, India, Arijit Singh once again claimed the throne as the most-streamed artist for the third consecutive year. His soulful melodies have not only captured the hearts of Indian listeners but have also propelled him to the 12th position on the global stage.

 Following closely behind is Pritam, securing the second spot, while Anirudh Ravichander clinches the third position, surpassing the legendary AR Rahman.

The soundtrack of the nation was led by King and Saurabh Lokhande’s ‘Maan Meri Jaan,’ emerging as the most-streamed song on Spotify in India. Other chart-toppers include ‘Kahani Suno 2.0’ by Kaifi Khalil, ‘Kesariya’ by Pritam, Arijit Singh, and Amit Bhattacharya, as well as ‘Malang Sajna’ by Sachet Tandon, Parampara Tandon, and Kumaar, among others.

In the realm of albums, Shahid Kapoor’s blockbuster ‘Kabir Singh’ soundtrack claimed the top spot as the most-streamed album in India. This was closely followed by Arijit Singh’s ‘Ultimate Love Songs,’ Sidhu Moosewala’s ‘Moosetape,’ and Shubh’s ‘Still Rollin,’ each leaving an indelible musical imprint on the diverse tastes of Indian listeners.
