Subscriber War Ends: MrBeast and T-Series Bhushan are friends again!

Fans roared louder than ever for the biggest titans of YouTube clash for supremacy. On one side of the world, we have MrBeast, who started this digital face-off for Pewdepie. He now claims the throne of Subscriber King with 335 million. In the other part of the world, T-Series, the Indian music company and pioneer of Bollywood hits holds 280 million followers. Fans initially fueled the battle and meme pages with sheer ambition, but even the giants took it so seriously that they finally ended with the most unexpected twist. They collaborated. And oh, the internet is loving it.

Mr Beast walked a Long Road to Avenge PewDiePie.

Let’s rewind to where it all started.

Subscriber War Ends: MrBeast and T-Series Bhushan are friends again!

The “sub-race” rivalry, as fans call it, began when PewDiePie, YouTube’s first true superstar, went head-to-head with T-Series in 2019. Despite his efforts, comedy and smartness, PewDiePie lost to surpass T-Series as the most subscribed channel. Later entered MrBeast, YouTube’s golden boy, philanthropist, and apparently, PewDiePie’s unofficial avenger in this aspect.

With his subscriber count finally rising closer to T-Series over the years, MrBeast declared on X, “After six years, we have finally avenged PewDiePie.”

Even Elon Musk couldn’t resist adding in. As MrBeast crossed the coveted 268 million mark, overtaking T-Series’ 266 million at the time, Musk exclaimed on X, “Wow, congrats!” Because what’s a social media war without the richest man alive throwing away two cents?

But let’s not overlook T-Series’ response. The company, led by chairman Bhushan Kumar, launched a heartfelt video urging Indian audiences to rally behind him. Opening with a quote from its founder, Late Gulshan Kumar, “I want to put India and my people at the top of the international platform.” And any Indian would find it convincing.

This wasn’t the first time India’s online community flexed its patriotic muscle. Remember the Snapchat issue? When the app’s founder allegedly remarked that “Snapchat is not for Indians,” the backlash was swift and brutal. The #BoycottSnapchat movement saw the platform lose half its Indian user base. A similar undercurrent emerged during the MrBeast vs T-Series saga, with some Indians framing it as a battle of India vs the USA.

The USA’s Boxing Banter, MrBeast vs T-series Bhushan

MrBeast is never shy about playful banter, and he challenged Bhushan Kumar to a boxing match last month. “I challenge the CEO of T-Series to a boxing match,” he quipped on X, with a side-by-side comparison of their subscriber counts. The chairman and managing director, Kumar, gracefully ignored the jab, but the fans? They went into psych.

Another stunt or really friends?

In a recent viral video shared by T-Series, MrBeast and Bhushan Kumar came together for what people have been calling “the biggest collab ever.” Mr Beast proposed that if Bhushan Kumar subscribed to his channel, he’d reciprocate by subscribing to T-Series. What followed was a hilarious moment where MrBeast pretended his phone had died before hitting that subscribe button.

What else could be the result? Fans were overjoyed. Social media lit up with comments like, “The world is for collaboration, not competition,” and “This is what we needed, a global kumbaya moment!” The video went viral, two global giants can set aside rivalry for something greater.

It may sound silly to many, but why does it matter?

The end of this rivalry highlights more than just a playful subscriber exchange. It highlights the evolution of digital platforms from spaces of competition to arenas of collaboration. Today, fan wars and online divisions are making people go crazy, and that impact is shown in real life. This moment is a reminder that unity is part of and as powerful as rivalry.

So, here we are. Even today, MrBeast sits on YouTube’s throne, T-Series remains a powerhouse and the internet has a new favourite bromance. This isn’t the end of the sub-race; it could be the beginning of something bigger.

And to that, we say: let the next chapter of YouTube’s story begin. Is it just this? or are Mr Beast and Mr Bhushan planning anything soon? Let’s await!
