The curious tale of 3 Orrys and the upcoming Relevance Room on YouTube
Social media sensation Orry aka Orhan Awatramani’s persona gets curioser and curioser.
Ever since the guy who is ‘famous for being famous’ featured in a celebrity talk show Koffee With Karan 8, he has piqued media interest once again.
Orry mentioned that he has three doppelgangers who pose and dress like him. Out of his three doppelgangers, one of them is his friend. All his look-alikes fill in for him at events. If that wasn’t enough, he even said he was planning his own ‘digital downfall’, in order to make a comeback, like in movies.
To Karan Johar’s questions, Orry talked about a “relevance room” in his office where he works with his “minions” who have to dress up as me and think as me, are Orry 2, Orry 3, or Orry 4.
I am Orry No. 1, The only one that matters!
Orry has now taken to Instagram and shared a video with the caption, “Introducing, THE ORRYS! #TheRelevanceRoom coming “on YouTube.” The link for this upcoming initiative leads to his YouTube page, which currently boasts only 513 subscribers and 14 videos. On the Instagram video (where he boasts a following of 906k), Orry is seen sporting a T-shirt that reads, “Lol, you are not Orry,” and he begins by introducing his minions. “I don’t know their names, and I don’t want to know their names. They are just known as,” he remarks, walking through his office as the video transitions to “Orry Nos. 2 and 4.”
Bollywood actress Ananya Panday makes an appearance as “Orry No. 3.” Orry humorously comments, “But we killed her for getting too relevant,” as a pop-up window displays her profile being removed and her head being cropped off in a photo while Orry brandishes a knife. Concluding the video, he declares, “I am Orry No. 1. The only one that matters.”
A self confessed marketing genius, Orry doesn’t cease to surprise. His proximity to Bollywood stars, his consistent appearance at celeb events and his often naive comments about his life and work (‘I am a liver’ is a case in point – the catchphrase has now gone viral, appearing on his friend Nysa Devgn’s T-shirt as well) continue to mystify everyone, fan or not.
