The Great Indian Kapil Show Spreads Laughter But With Jaw-Dropping Fees Charged By The Cast
Netflix’s The Great Indian Kapil Show takes viewers on a laughter ride but costs a bomb to film. Reportedly, the comedian-host Kapil Sharma has charged a whopping amount for the five episodes aired so far.
Not only has Kapil’s pay for the show been reportedly revealed, but the new report has also revealed his co-stars Archana Puran Singh and Sunil Grover’s fees for the show.
Kapil Sharma’s Remuneration
According to a report by Zee Hindustan and quoted by DNA India, Kapil Sharma has allegedly charged an astounding amount of Rs 26 crore for five episodes. That’s a little over Rs 5 crores per episode. The report also suggests Sunil Grover, who reunited with Kapil after their seven years of fallout, is charging a shocking Rs 25 lakh per episode.
The report also claimed that Archana Puran Singh, who usually sits between the audience, is getting paid Rs 10 lakhs per episode. Meanwhile, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, and Rajiv Thakur are being paid Rs 10 lakh, Rs 7 lakh, and Rs 6 lakh, respectively, as per the report. However, there is no confirmation by the actors or makers so far.

The Great Indian Kapil Show started streaming on Netflix on March 30. In its first five episodes, the show has seen Ranbir Kapoor, Neetu Kapoor, Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, Rohit Sharma, Shreyas Iyer, Diljit Dosanjh, Parineeti Chopra, Imtiaz Ali, Vicky Kaushal, Sunny Kaushal, and Aamir Khan as its celebrity guests. Each new episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show premieres every Saturday at 8 pm on Netflix.
Kapil Sharma previously hosted Comedy Nights with Kapil on Colors TV from 2013 to 2016 and The Kapil Sharma Show on Sony TV from 2016 to 2023.
