But this didn’t stop her from moving forward. In 2020, her son Harsh suffered from a huge loss in his business who then came across the idea of starting a food business with Daadi. Times when Mrs Urmila used to cook food by visiting different houses in Mumbai is now a well-known cook who has also travelled abroad for cooking. She has been Top 16 finalist in MasterChef India and has been TEDx Speaker at AIIMS. Urmila ben at the age of 78 teaches us nothing is impossible and age is no barrier.

However, it is well said ‘Life is the best teacher and Mrs Dhamane has surely learnt from the best. 65-year-old Ravi Bala Sharma, also known as dancing dadi, is breaking age stigma and living her passion for dance. Recently, she broke the internet by dancing on a popular song ‘Khalasi’. Her infectious dance moves, choreography and grace at this age is commendable. She keeps uploading her dance videos on a daily basis and her followers look forward to seeing her each time.

They opened their Instagram page ‘caughtcrafthanded’ during lockdown which has turned out to be a huge success. Their page is now a home to crochet earrings, bags, scrunchies, toys, warmers, and home decor items.

It all started when Yukti realised about her grandmother Mrs Sheela’s skill and passion for knitting. Her love for knitting started at the early age of 12 when she was in school. Intrigued by their neighbour’s knitting sweaters and other things, she approached them and learned all the techniques. While growing up, her love and affection for knitting turned into her hobby.
