Desi Fashionista Influencers Shine At Milan Fashion Week

Milan Fashion Week, which culminated on February 26 this year, is inarguably among the 4 biggest fashion weeks globally. Four of our desi fashion influencers made their mark at the event this time, wowing everyone with their jaw dropping looks.

Here’s a quick look at our fashionista influencers who made heads turn at Milan Fashion Week.

Masoom Minawala

Masoom Minawala, our very own global influencer who is a regular at the biggest fashion weeks, was in attendance and slayed each look with her distinctive style. These are her three signature looks we were specially floored by:

THE BLACK DRESS

Who could have thought anyone can come even close to the way Kendal Jenner carries a cut out black dress! Although Masoom Minawala’s outfit by Roberto Cavalli is far more demure in comparison to Kendall’s bold edition, it’s definitely an absolute showstopper.

THE BOSS BABE

This take on a power suit by QUA is giving what it is supposed to give – a total boss babe vibe! There is only one thing we don’t agree here. Masoom captioned it as “Female Harvey Spector”. Nope, she is a total Jessica Pearson in this one. (Trivia – For those who don’t know – Jessica Pearson is the boss to Harvey Spector in the web series Suits)

BOW-GATE

Fashion week cannot be wrapped up until you give an out & out chic. Parisian outfit, and what better way to wrap it with a bow. Bow-gate as DietSabya said will blow up in 2024 and Masoom seems to subtly agree (wink wink!) and we cannot stop gushing over how fabulous this ensemble by Mach&Mach looks on her.

Pavitra Sagar

Pavitra Sagar, the face of StyleMuse, is one of the popular lifestyle and fashion personalities of India, spotted at various fashion events in looks that truly set her apart. Pavitra Sagar attended multiple shows during the Milan Fashion Week and wore outfits by Indian designers, styled with accessories that are an absolute conversation starter. Our favourite three looks of hers from the Milan Fashion Week can be simple categories as Maximalism at its best.

EXPLOSIVE STUFF

In this Deme by Gabrielle look, it looks like it took a village to get her ready– in a good way. It is absolutely chaotic, the make-up, the shoes and don’t miss the bag. Didn’t we say earlier accessories that were a conversation starter? As they say, only she can make this Werk!

THE SARI GIRL

What better way to represent India than in a Sari. Pavitra wore this Sari Inspired 431-88 dress by Shweta Kapur and styled it with an exaggerated sequin jacket. (We won’t dare compare it, but it does come close to a look from Rekha’s modelling sequence from Khoon Bhari Maang.)

MOBWIFE

She said it herself and we surely agree. In another maximalist look, Pavitra is making it her signature style. Black & Gold works, ALWAYS & Pavitra is making More & More is never enough, believable. This look is not inspired by MOBWIFE aesthetic. If you ask us, we will say this is an exact representation.

Juhi Godambe

Can be counted among the OG Fashion Influencers of India. Juhi has been attending fashion weeks year after year and taking the fashion level a notch higher each time.

THE IT GIRL

Give her a skimpy grey metallic lil number and black boots and watch her turn the streets into a fashion runway and strut like a supermodel. She attended the Diesel show in this look.

LEGS FOR DAYS

Dressed in this Tanieya Khanuja number, Juhi exudes Parisian aesthetic. The fit is amazing, the matching of the dress, shoes and the bag is a perfect amalgamation that can be done by only a fashion veteran. Isn’t it giving a Emily in Paris vibe?

CATWALK & CROISSANT

Cool, Effortless Yet Chic & Elegant. Juhi attended Bally’s show dressed by the brand and she looks ready to take on any and everything. Be it attending a fashion show or making a quick run for coffee and croissant.

Masoom Minawala, Pavitra Sagar and Juhi Godambe, each of these ladies stepping on the fashion scene at International Fashion Weeks are not only strengthening their presence but always giving a platform for established as well as up and coming home grown brands of India. That’s why we couldn’t be proud enough!
