1. Elvish Yadav
Elvish Yadav is a prominent YouTuber and social media influencer known for making roast videos. He gained immense popularity after winning the second season of Bigg Boss OTT, a digital spin-off of the controversial reality show Bigg Boss, hosted by Salman Khan. However, his journey hasn’t been without legal troubles. He has been accused of acquiring snake venom as a recreational drug for rave parties. He faced criminal charges under the Wildlife Act following the discovery of venom in samples from one of his parties earlier this year. The YouTuber was arrested by the UP Police after a report confirmed the presence of Cobra Krait snake venom in the samples. Additionally, Yadav was involved in a public fight with fellow YouTuber Maxtern. The fight escalated to physical violence, resulting in an FIR being filed. Maxtern later chose to withdraw the FIR.
2. Rajat Dalal
Rajat Dalal, who is currently a participant in Bigg Boss 18, has made headlines not just for his content but for his legal issues also. His popularity soared through fitness vlogs, but his brand suffered a significant blow when he was charged with reckless driving in September this year after allegedly hitting a motorcyclist. In July, he publicly clashed with actor Ajaz Khan and expressed his support for Elvish Yadav through a video. In June, Dalal was arrested in Ahmedabad for allegedly kidnapping and assaulting a teenager. Earlier, in March, Haryana police intervened after Dalal threatened Rajveer Singh Shisodia in a video.
3. Bobby Kataria
Gurugram-based Bobby Kataria is a social media influencer who describes himself as a competitive bodybuilder and a powerlifter. He is known for creating controversial content and promoting gun and gang violence. His reputation took a dramatic turn when he was arrested on May 27 in connection with a human trafficking case. Authorities allege that he sent 33 individuals abroad under the pretext of providing job opportunities. During the investigation, police recovered ₹20 lakh in cash, several documents, and four mobile phones from his possession.
4. Amrita Sethi
Amrita Sethi, a 26-year-old social media influencer, and two of her friends were arrested in Goa in 2020 for allegedly robbing a Forex exchange company employee of $3,300 in South Delhi. Sethi, who claimed to be a social activist, fashion designer, professional poker player, and Miss Delhi, reportedly used the stolen money to indulge in luxury stays at five-star hotels and to play poker at casinos in Goa.
5. Arun Kathare
In June, 26-year-old social media influencer Arun Kathare was arrested by the Kothanur police in Bengaluru for creating reels with fake guns resembling Ak-47s and bodyguards. The police registered a case against him for causing public disturbance under the Arms Act and Section 290 of the IPC. The police arrested Kathare after receiving complaints from the public. According to them, he used to visit Bengaluru to make videos.
