As the Lok Sabha Elections begin, political parties in India have been doing their utmost for votes this year. And reaching out to young voters by appealing through the influencer community has been at the forefront of this. On Saturday, party leaders of the BJP announced that a mega meet of influencers will be held in Delhi next week. This will allow the BJP to reach out to young voters ahead of the Lok Sabha elections. This update came after the party also announced that they will be holding several cultural programmes like street plays, flash mobs and puppet shows in the capital next month.

Delhi Unit Chief Virendra Sachdeva has said that the BJP hopes to reach out to a much bigger number of users through social media platforms. The meet will help them bring all influencers supporting them together and allow them to campaign effectively through their social media channels. He also stated that the party wants a multi-channel outreach through platforms like Facebook, X and WhatsApp.

More than 1000 influencers are expected to attend the BJP influencer meet!

Other than the influencers, the meet will have senior BJP leaders in attendance and is expected to help boost the party’s reach immensely. A similar event was also held in 2019, before the Lok Sabha Elections at the time. All seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi were won by BJP in 2019.

According to a TOI report, the BJP also intends to start a war-room that will address any fake news publicized to target the party negatively. They intend to tackle any false rumors or manipulated videos that may hurt the party’s image prior to the elections.

Stay tuned for updates on who’s attending and which influencers to spot at the BJP meet.
