Content Creators Compete for $1 Million at 1 Billion Followers Summit in Dubai
Dubai-based New Media Academy has announced that content creators will compete for a share of a $1 million prize at the upcoming 3rd edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, set for January next year.
Theme: ‘Content for Good’
The summit, themed ‘Content for Good’, will reward top digital creators for making a positive and meaningful impact on a local, regional, and global scale, according to Alia Al Hammadi, CEO of the New Media Academy.
Al Hammadi highlighted that both the audience and participants will have the opportunity to nominate their favorite content creators. Finalists will be shortlisted through public voting, with the ultimate winners being chosen by a panel of experts during the summit.
Venues and Dates of 1 Billion Summit
The 3rd edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit will take place from January 11 to 13, 2025, across three prominent venues: Jumeirah Emirates Towers, Museum of the Future, and the nearby Dubai International Financial Centre. The summit aims to provide a platform for creatives and investors to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects.
The summit is designed to help aspiring creators identify the skills and techniques necessary for creating compelling content. With a target audience of over 1 billion, the event will gather top media influencers and content creators to discuss the role of new media in supporting national economies and sustainable development, noted Al Hammadi.
Building Followers
“The summit aims to catalyze a transformation across digital media—from content creation to social media utilization,” said Al Hammadi. The event builds on the success of previous editions. Furthermore, which have garnered significant global attention and participation from key influencers and media.
The 2nd edition of the 1 Billion Followers Summit, held in January this year. However, attracted over 7,000 participants from 95 countries. Moreover, including more than 3,000 content creators and influencers. The event saw over 300 million engagements across social media platforms.
New Feature of Summit: 1B Pitches
A new feature of the upcoming summit is 1B Pitches. However, which aims to provide funding and financial support for content creators. Digital creators will pitch their ground breaking ideas to major investors and businesses. Moreover, who are keen to sponsor and help bring these ideas to life.
Ahmed El Ghandour, known for his popular YouTube program ‘Al Daheeh’, along with Anas Marwah and Asala Maleh from the Anazala family channel, have been appointed as ambassadors for the summit. The Anazala family channel boasts over 40 million followers across various digital platforms. Additional ambassadors will be announced at a later date.
