From fitness to farming, Gaurav Taneja's career takes another flying leap

Gaurav Taneja may not have bagged the National Creator award this year, but he definitely appears to know which side his bread is buttered. Or more appropriately, smeared with ghee. Taneja, better known on YouTube as the Flying Beast, has launched a variant of clarified butter branded Rosier Foods, which he claims is the ‘purest quality of Gir A2 Desi Ghee made in small batches as per Vedic methods from curd. Our mission is to revive old traditions of Bharat.’

From Flying to Farming

Taneja, an ex Air Asia employee, who shot to fame with his fitness journey on his YouTube channel FitMuscle TV, has now ventured into farming. He says he has purchased Gir cows from Gujarat and nurtured them on his farms. The ghee, made from the Vedic process in clay pots, is organic and made on his farm. The ghee was officially launched on the first day of Chaitra Navratri, marking the beginning of the Hindu New Year, last week. The catch? Each 500 ml pack of the ghee is priced at an eye popping Rs 1350/-.

The products can be purchased from Amazon, Flipkart and the company’s website. Rosier Foods, the brand is a joint initiative between Taneja and his friend from his aviation days, Ankur Tyagi. In a YouTube video put up on April 9, Taneja took viewers through the entire process of how the organic ghee is made, right from milking, churning and packing.

Gaurav Taneja’s Journey So Far

After cracking the IIT entrance exam in 2004 and going to study civil engineering at IIT Kharagpur, he went on to become a pilot. Being an avid bodybuilder, he started his first YouTube channel in 2017, called Fit Muscle TV. A Youtuber for the last 8 years, Taneja was a pilot for AirAisa, and was fired in June 2020 following his decision to raise concerns about safety norms violations by the airlines. He claimed that the low-cost airline asked its pilots to make their landings in a dangerous way that compromised the safety of the passengers. Gaurav Taneja is married to Ritu Rathee, who is also a pilot and social media influencer. Ritu had met Gaurav for the first time during a quarterly training session done by the airlines for which she was working. She rose to fame after appearing on her husband’s YouTube channel. According to reports, ever since Ritu Rathee delivered her second daughter, their fans wanted to know when she would be rejoining her pilot job. However, finally, after two-years of sabbatical Ritu Rathee is back to flying.
