How Armeen Jasavala and Firoz Bharucha Found Healing in Nature?
Read everything about this soul-stirring slow-living journey, hundreds of tree plantations, and mindful wellness outside Mumbai.

Armeen Jasavala and Firoz Bharucha, a content creator couple in their 30s, have created a life full of peace, healing, and purpose just 125 km away from the chaos of Mumbai. Originally from Toronto, Canada, Armeen has lived in India for over 12 years. Alongside her partner Firoz, they transformed a barren hill in the Roha region into a blossoming green sanctuary. What began during the early days of the COVID-19 lockdown, is now a growing forest with over 1000 native trees, each one lovingly planted and nurtured.
A Lifestyle Rooted in Balance and Self-Care
Armeen Jasavala and Firoz Bharucha live by the values of slow living, conscious health, and deep connection with the self. Their daily life is filled with practices nourishing the mind, body, energy, and soul. They tend to their emotional and physical well-being through breathing exercises, mindful meditation, and homoeopathy. Her meals are colourful, home-cooked, and entirely plant-based, a lifestyle she has followed for six years. This vibrant diet has brought better energy, stronger immunity, and balanced health to her and Filly’s lives. From high-fibre carbs to healthy fats, every meal becomes an act of nourishment. Their small wooden cabin stands proudly on top of the hill, surrounded by trees that now touch 25 feet in height. It is more than just a home; it is a sacred space they’ve grown with their hands and hearts.
Music, Movement, and Forest Walks
Music is her therapy; she plays four instruments just for joy: piano, guitar, harmonica, and ukulele; creativity flows easily for Armeen. Singing and dancing bring lightness to her days, while her deepest peace comes from planting saplings, tending wild gardens, and walking in her forest with their furry babies.
Now, exercise is no longer intense but gentle and aware. Daily 3-kilometre walks, slow strength training, stretching with breathwork, and occasional hikes in nature form her fitness routine. Facial and lymphatic massages also help her stay connected to her physical self.
The Influence of Roots
Armeen’s spiritual and cultural grounding comes from her Parsi heritage. Her mother was born in Mumbai, and her father was from Zanzibar; she carries forward the values of Zoroastrianism, Good Thoughts, Good Words, and Good Deeds. These teachings guide her simple, intentional way of living and influence how she sees nature, not as a resource but as a living, breathing relative. She learned energy cleansing from her grandparents, using incense and gratitude to bless each room of her home. This daily ritual connects her to her ancestors and keeps her space energetically calm and sacred.
The Teachers Who Changed Her Life
On her healing journey, Armeen Jasavala met a wise elder during her homoeopathy studies. Full of laughter and calm energy, this person introduced her to release therapy and holistic awareness. With his guidance, she learned how deeply the mind affects the body, how to identify emotional triggers, and how to stop reacting and start responding.
Another major influence has been her husband, Firoz, aka Filly. He is calm under pressure, handles criticism gracefully, and lives fully in the present. His approach to life taught Armeen how to slow down, let go of unnecessary stress, and stop people-pleasing.

Small Seeds of Transformation
Planting trees has become a sacred act for Armeen. She believes every tree planted is a step toward a better world for today and future generations. Her forest is not just a contribution to the Earth but a source of emotional connection and healing. She finds joy in the simple act of nurturing life. Watching trees grow reminds her of what it means to care, hope, and live with intention.
Inspirations That Keep Her Grounded
Books like The Things You Can See Only When You Slow Down by Haemin Sunim and The Book of Moods by Lauren Martin have offered her new perspectives on life. She also draws wisdom and strength from digital spaces, following creators who focus on holistic wellness and emotional healing, such as @abundantlyanushka, @the.holistic.psychologist, @spiritdaughter, and many more.
Living With Love and Freedom
Today, Armeen Jasavala is working toward celebrating herself fully and filling her own cup before serving others. She’s proud of how far she’s come and is learning to honour her own needs.
Freedom, for her, lives in the hills of Roha. Each weekend, she and Firoz Bharucha return to their forest retreat, surrounded by trees and their dogs, and reconnect with their truest selves. It’s not just a break from city life; it’s a weekly ritual of recharging the soul.
In a world that is rushing forward, they have chosen to root down, and in doing so, they’ve created something truly timeless.
