Indian Government Announces First Ever National Creators' Awards

India is about to shine a spotlight on its digital visionaries like never before. Get ready to witness the grand debut of the National Creators’ Awards – an ode to the Gen Z trailblazers who are redefining the rules of influence and innovation in the digital sphere.

Government Celebrates Gen Z’s Digital Dominance

These awards are all about honoring the Gen Z hustlers who’ve carved out their own niches in the wild, wild web. With over 20 electrifying categories up for grabs, it’s time to pay homage to the digital disruptors who are leaving their mark on every screen and timeline.

Diverse Categories in National Creators’ Awards

From the Instagram glam queens to the YouTube jesters who keep us laughing, every flavor of digital dynamism will be celebrated. But it’s not just about fame; it’s about recognizing the unsung heroes who use their platforms to champion causes, spread culture, and ignite change. Other categories may include “green champions”, “swachhta ambassadors”, “agro creators” and “tech creators”, sources say. They said the awards will be on the lines of the national film awards, which recognise films in different languages and categories.

Lights, Camera, Digital Action

On its official Instagram handle, the government announced the awards thus –

-Are you familiar with the National Film Awards? Think of an award that grand, except now, we’re awarding Digital Creators!

Creators awards are not new in India, but they have all been the prerogative of private enterprise. The government has encouraged the role of influencers and creators in shaping the society and economy, but this is the first time that awards have been singularly initiated to recognise their contribution.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself has been vocal about the role of creators and has met several of them, including Shraddha Jain, who goes by the moniker Aiyyo Shradda. Modi also praied fitness influencer Ankit Baiyanpuria on his 75 day fitness challenge in October 2023 and told him that he was doing a great job.

More recently, the ruling party BJP has been galvanising creators across the country, inspiring them to visit ‘hidden Ramayana sites’ and bring them into public eye.

Government’s Stamp of Approval for Creators Awards

This isn’t just another awards show; it’s a game-changer. With Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself singing the praises of digital disruptors like fitness fanatic Ankit Baiyanpuria, it’s clear that the government is all in on the digital revolution.

Stirring Creativity From Coast to Coast

But the digital dynamism doesn’t stop there. From “hidden Ramayana sites” to eco-warrior campaigns, the ruling party BJP is rallying creators nationwide to celebrate India’s rich cultural tapestry in the digital age.

So, as the countdown begins to the inaugural National Creators’ Awards, let’s raise a toast to the digital dreamers, the viral virtuosos, and the Insta-icons who are rewriting the rulebook of creativity. Get ready to witness history in the making as India pays tribute to its digital mavericks like never before. It’s time to celebrate, innovate, and #CreateWithPride!
