When Influencer Anish Bhagat Gave ‘Glowing’ Makeover To UP Board Topper Prachi Nigam
Social media can be a harsh place to be and it was proved right when Uttar Pradesh Class 10 state board topper Prachi Nigam started trending on social media platforms. However, the focus shifted from her academic achievement, and started getting trolled for her appearance over her facial hair.
However, weeks after the incident, Prachi shared a powerful message for women in a video that is swiftly going viral on Instagram. Content creator Anish Bhagat travelled all the way to Prachi’s home in Sitapur’s Mahmudabad and gave her a glowing makeover.
“Dear women, never try to fix something that was never broken”
In a video shared on his official Instagram handle, he mentions, “Today, I am traveling to Mahmudabad to meet someone we should all be proud of. She topped her boards in 55 lakh students – Prachi Nigam.”
As he greets Prachi Nigam at her house and presents her with a flower, he continues, “However, most people could only focus on how she looks. Instead of being praised, she was bullied by the entire nation. Why do most women have to experience this in their lives? So, I decided to give her a glow-up that the whole nation deserves to see. Let’s get her to look like her best self.”
Bhagat then gives her a “glow-up”, which involves applying mascara, perfume, and nail paint and styling her hair into a ponytail. She looked the same and was quite happy about it!
At the end of the video, Prachi says something that wins the hearts of millions. She says, “Dear women, never try to fix something that was never broken”
Anish captioned the post, stating, “I hope this shuts the trolls once and for all,” wrote Bhagat while sharing the video on Instagram. This is for anyone and everyone filled with insecurities and has been waiting for a glow-up. You all deserve to treat yourself a little better. Don’t be too hard on yourself.”

The video has garnered numerous comments on Instagram and praised Anish Bhagat’s thoughtful response to trolls.
One user wrote, “The moment you said I wanted to give her a glow up, I almost got borderline bothered. Only to see the end result. Glad glad glad.” Another user commented, “Bro heals something he didn’t break.” Another added, “People saying “why can’t she shave?” But why she has too?!”
Prachi, a student of Sita Bal Vidya Mandir Inter College, Sitapur was ecstatic after the results were declared. But during an interview with BBC News Hindi, she said, “A few lesser marks in exams wouldn’t have made me popular on social media, and I wouldn’t have faced such trolling for my facial hair. A few people even defended me and shut off trolls by educating them. That such facial hair in girls is often a result of hormonal changes.”
