BJP ropes in influencers and social media stars to promote lesser known historical sites . Reelstars

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has assembled a team of social media influencers with a mission—to shed light on places associated with Lord Rama and those mentioned in the Ramayana. This endeavor is an integral part of the ongoing Ramotsav Yatra, a pilgrimage that commenced on January 14 and is set to conclude on February 14.

Historians, Travel Enthusiasts, & Social Media Influencers

The participants in this unique yatra extend beyond conventional pilgrims, encompassing a diverse group of individuals, including social media influencers, historians, travel enthusiasts, and dedicated party workers. At the helm of this endeavor is social media influencer Malay Dixit, serving as the convenor of the yatra.

Mission for National Awareness

Many of these sacred places remain shrouded in obscurity, lacking national awareness. Malay Dixit emphasized the necessity of bringing these places to the forefront, especially for the benefit of the youth. Speaking to reporters in Belagavi, he shared, “A lot of these places are in the dark. There is no awareness about them at the national level. The general public, especially the youth, needs to know about them. Hence the effort.”

Crafting a Pilgrimage and Tourist Map

To achieve widespread recognition, influencers with substantial social media followings have been handpicked for the task. Their mission is to create a comprehensive pilgrimage and tourist map, ensuring that information about these lesser-known sites reaches every corner of the country. Malay Dixit affirmed, “They will create a pilgrimage and tourist map of these places and ensure that information about them reaches all corners of the country.”

Ram Janmabhoomi Trust’s Call to Action

Trustee of the Ram Janmabhoomi Trust, Champak Rai, has compiled a list of these obscure places, urging the team to prepare detailed multimedia material on each. This initiative aligns with the broader vision of seeking budgetary support from the Central government to facilitate the development of these historically and spiritually significant locations.

Seeking Funds for Development

The BJP, cognizant of the potential these sites hold, plans to request the Union government for financial support to foster the overall development of these places. With this multifaceted initiative, the party envisions not only bringing these sites into the national spotlight but also ensuring their growth and preservation for generations to come.
