Kamya Buch’s journey didn’t start with spirituality. It began with a battle, one against clinical depression, in 2011. But instead of turning to conventional medicine, she sought healing through natural health practices and spiritual wisdom. That path led her to meet her Guruji, who helped her heal completely through holistic methods.

Post-recovery, she completed a Master’s in Economics at Warwick University; she didn’t feel satisfied or fulfilled at heart. She wanted more, and what’s that?

The Nomadic Life

Kamya took a bold step by leaving everything behind and embarking on a two-month trip to Cambodia and Vietnam in 2016, and she never looked back. From the Ko Pha-Ngan in Thailand to the mystical Parvati Valley in Himachal Pradesh, she found a spiritual home in different tangent corners of Asia. By 2017, she had established her blog, Wandering Kamya, and officially announced that she was a digital nomad.

But her journey wasn’t just about travel. It was about deeply exploring the self, ancient cultures, and forgotten traditions. Through her content, she curated experiences involving healing, travel, spirituality and guiding others toward self-discovery.

Kamya Understood Hindu Civilisation’s Crisis

Everything changed in 2020. As Kamya started thinking deeper into Hindu philosophy, she noticed patterns of erased histories, suppressed traditions, and the long-lasting effects of colonisation. She saw how “economic development” was often just a new form of colonisation, disconnecting people from their roots.

Determined to counter these narratives, she began using social media to educate people about the true essence of Hinduism. She spoke about the Sampradayas (sects), ancestral lineages, jatis, and spiritual traditions that make up the last living ancient civilisation. Her goal was to help Hindus reclaim their self-esteem, reconnect with their roots, and stand firm in their identity.

A Spiritual Activism on Social Media

Kamya doesn’t just talk about spirituality, she practices, teaches, and builds communities around it. Through Instagram, YouTube, and her blog, she shares insights into Vedic knowledge, spiritual sciences, and Hindu traditions. She holds weekly Sanskrit shloka chanting sessions on Zoom and workshops focused on inner transformation.

She believes social media can be a force for good if used wisely. It has the power to inspire youth, provide spaces for deep conversations, and offer support to those searching for identity and purpose.

Financial Freedom through Spirituality

For many, spirituality and financial success seem like two different worlds. Kamya challenges that belief. Drawing from her seven years as a digital nomad, she designed the Dharmic Entrepreneurship Program, a unique initiative that integrates spiritual wisdom with financial independence.

Her inspiration? Kashi. For centuries, the ancient city has been a beacon of transformation for saints, warriors, and visionaries. She believes that Kashi’s energy is the key if people truly want to create impact. After organising seven successful spiritual yatras to hidden sites in Kashi, she crafted a program that helps seekers integrate dharma into their careers and financial lives.

Why Stop? Explore Psychedelic Science with Kamya Buch

Kamya’s self-discovery led her into another uncharted territory: psychedelic science. In 2019, she founded Psychedelic Society India, a non-profit organisation that created a safe space for discussing plant medicines and ancient healing techniques.

Her work in this field goes beyond India. She frequently speaks at global psychedelic summits, sharing insights on sacred medicines and their role in spirituality.

Break Free from The Matrix

For Kamya, life isn’t just about existence but evolution. She believes the modern world is a Matrix, trapping people in materialism and meaningless routines. But there’s a way out, and that way is spirituality. Her teachings encourage people to look beyond the surface, question societal norms, and reconnect with their true selves.

She chose a different path that didn’t involve a desk job or chasing corporate success. Instead, she built a life on her own terms, merging spirituality, travel, and activism into a powerful mission.

Her message is simple but vast: True happiness comes from purpose, not possessions. And through her journey, she hopes to inspire others to seek their own truth.

Kamya Buch continues

She never stops to travel, teach, and inspire. Whether through her digital platforms, spiritual retreats, or advocacy work, she is committed to uncovering the wisdom of the past and guiding people toward a more conscious and sensible future.

Her journey isn’t just hers; it’s for us to wake up, step out of The Matrix, and walk towards enlightenment.
