Gay Couple - the reelstars

This Pride Month, we’re shining a light on the vibrant LGBTQ+ influencer couples who share their journeys on social media!

Join us as we celebrate their unique stories, the joy they bring to their audiences, and the positive impact they have on the LGBTQ+ community. Get ready to be inspired by their love, their laughter, and their unwavering commitment to fighting for equality.

Let’s take a look at these LGBTQ+ influencer couples representing their community on social media:

Yogi and Kabeer

Yogi and Kabeer are a queer couple based out of Delhi. They have previously spoken to NDTV India about some basic rights to which they don’t have access, such as adopting a child, nominating their partners for insurance policies, and opening a joint account, unlike other heterosexual couples.

“Pyaar wahi jo sab ko samajh aaye, aisa zaroori toh nahi, Sach Nahi jisse bheed chilly, aisa zaroori toh nahi; Do ladke agar ek doosre se pyar kare toh isme itna ajeeb kya hai, Dil ko apna humshakal sirf opposite sex pe dike, aisa zaroori to nahi?”

Yogi uses these words to define his relationship with Kabeer.

Before they met, they struggled to accept their identity in front of the world. But now, this couple hosts India’s leading LGBTQ+ podcast, “Shuddh Desi Gay,” a Spotify Original.

In January 2023, they were seen on holdings across India as the brand ambassadors of India’s first-ever same-sex partner insurance policy. Their podcast was a winner at the Hubhopper Podcast Awards 2022 as the Best Self-Love and Motivation Podcast.

They won an award as Cosmo LGBTQIA+ VOICE OF THE YEAR 2024. As the voice of the LGBTQAI+ community, winning this award was empowering yet humbling for them.

Divesh Tolani & Atulan Purohit

Divesh Tolani and Atulan Purohit are home decor enthusiasts, travel vloggers, and dancers. Their Honey Imm Home page explores traveling to different places and creating beautiful home decor. They share a common interest in wanderlust and dance, which has taken their relationship to a different level of love.

Now, they have a YouTube channel with over 300k subscribers. They create travel blogs and home decor tutorials and share lovely moments spent together as an LGBTQ+ couple. On their “Honey Imm Home” page, they bring community issues to the limelight. Their love for styling and fashion has kept them even tighter together.

Pawlyamorous

Shruti Chakravarty and her partner Pooja Nair are a queer couple who create content on Pawlyamorous by presenting their journey. “Be persistent with your truth, unlearn shame and accept yourself,” Shruti says to Hindustan Times, to have a secure future with a partner of your choice.

Shruti is a faculty at Mariwala Health Initiative. They work on making mental health accessible to marginalised communities.

Nick and Sayantika

Nick & Sayantika are a filmy queer couple. They live by, ‘Duniya badlenge lekin Pyaar se.’

#NiSa has been together for three years. They initially had a hate-at-first-meet reaction because someone spread a random rumour of them dating each other. Moreover, They fell in love eventually because they ended up being best friends after that. They create content related to the queer community and they believe in self-love and acceptance.

Self- love and self-acceptance in the LGBTQ+ community is the main agenda of celebrating Pride month. Influencers of this community are doing their best to create awareness for the same.

Ring around the celebration in this Pride Month by loving and accepting yourself with The ReelStars!
