Uber’s Game-Changing Move: The ‘Round Trip’, a 5-Day Outstation Adventure!

A new level of travel flexibility has been introduced as Uber introduces its latest feature, ‘Round Trip,’ under the Intercity service. Launched on December 18, this exciting addition allows riders to book not just single but multi-day return trips for outstation travel, all while sticking with the same car and driver throughout the journey.

Whether it’s a business trip or a leisurely getaway, ‘Round Trip’ brings unparalleled convenience and flexibility to your outstation adventures. Now, you can seamlessly book round trips lasting up to five days, with the comfort of having the same vehicle and driver accompanying you throughout. Need to make stops along the way? No problem, Uber’s got you covered!

To make scheduled outstation travel planning even more convenient, Uber now lets you reserve rides up to 90 days in advance. This not only benefits riders but also provides drivers with the chance to secure higher earnings and plan their schedules well in advance.

The fare for these round trips includes waiting time and even covers overnight lodging fees for multi-day journeys, ensuring that drivers are fairly compensated for their time. Shweta Mantri, Head of New Mobility at Uber, expressed enthusiasm about the launch, stating, “Outstation travel in taxis has largely been an unorganized market so far, and Intercity round trips change that game entirely.”

In addition to offering flexibility, the ‘Round Trip’ feature eliminates the hassle of manually booking local taxi services for travel. Plus, with the added advantage of tracking the journey through the Uber app, safety and reliability are further enhanced.

Excited about the game-changing feature, riders can book an Intercity Round Trip by simply selecting ‘Intercity’ on the app, choosing ‘Round Trip,’ entering the destination, and selecting their preferred vehicle type. Whether you need a ride immediately or want to pre-book for later, Uber’s ‘Round Trip’ is here to redefine long-distance road travel!
