S8UL Becomes First and Only Indian Team to Join Esports World Cup 2025

The Esports World Cup Foundation (EWCF) has selected S8UL as a Club Partner for the Esports World Cup 2025. This gaming organisation is now officially among the top 40 esports global teams, making history as India’s first and only representative in this elite lineup.

Expanding Gameplan Beyond India

Already a force in Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) and Pokémon UNITE, S8UL has expanded its competitive reach into VALORANT and Call of Duty: Mobile (COD:M). The organisation is setting its sights on Latin America, Southeast Asia, and Europe, strengthening its position as a key player in global esports.

With a roster of over 25 leading gaming creators, S8UL seamlessly blends competitive gaming with mainstream entertainment, shaping India’s gaming culture while roving celebrated internationally. The organisation has already gained global recognition, winning back-to-back Esports Awards for Esports Content Group of the Year and securing a nomination at the MOBIES Awards.

A Proud Moment for Indian Esports

Speaking on this milestone, Animesh ‘Thug’ Agarwal, Co-Founder and CEO of S8UL, shared his excitement:

Esports World Cup 2025: The Biggest Gaming Tournament

The Esports World Cup 2025 will take place in Riyadh later this year. With a huge prize pool and a lineup of top international teams, the competition promises to be legendary.

Last year’s edition saw:

  • 1,500 players from 200 teams
  • A prize pool of 60 million USD (INR 500 crore)
  • 500 million viewers worldwide, including 10.5 million from India

For 2025, the tournament will feature 23 top-tier competitive titles, including:

  • VALORANT
  • Counter-Strike 2
  • DOTA 2
  • League of Legends
  • Honour of Kings
  • EAFC 25
  • PUBG: Battlegrounds
  • Chess, among others

S8UL’s Role in the Club Partner Program

As part of the $20 million Club Support Program, S8UL and the other 39 partner teams will receive up to $1 million in funding. This financial backing will:

  • Expand their global reach
  • Boost brand growth
  • Help create engaging content & marketing campaigns

With a combined fanbase of over 300 million, the Partner Clubs will drive global engagement through:
