MrBeast’s exclusive video on X, a sign of changing times?

After much sparring online, MrBeast and Elon Musk appear to have shaken hands and decided to bury the hatchet.

After MrBeast, James Donaldson in the real world, went public saying it wasn’t paying enough to post on X, Musk took the bait and said that X would soon announce a significant boost in creator rewards on X (formerly Twitter), grandly saying “Aiming to make X the best place for creator prosperity!”

The ruse appears to have worked. MrBeast has uploaded his first video exclusively on X on Monday. Musk exulted with his own post, ‘First MrBeast video posted directly on 𝕏!’

The video has MrBeast comparing a range of cars for their performance. He tweeted, “I am curious how much ad revenue a video on X would make so I am reuploading this to test it. Will share ad revenue next week.”

MrBeast who had professed himself to be a Musk fan some years ago, has been vocal about X’s changing policies and Musk’s ever changing rules for the social platform. This appears to be a move on Musk’s part to placate the world’s most popular YouTuber and bring him closer to X.
