YouTube Shorts is Launching New Tools Soon!

Good news for content creators: YouTube is going to introduce 6 new tools for its Shorts format!

In 2023, YouTube launched tools to help edit videos into Shorts directly. Very soon, it will launch an auto layout on Android that automatically tracks. Moreover, the main subject in videos so that users can turn them into shorts. That means the Auto Layout tool will automatically and dynamically pan, zoom, and crop when remixing long-form videos into Shorts.

YouTube will also introduce Text to Speech so that content creators can be easily sorted with the subtitles in the Shorts narrated or spoken out loud. After recording a Short, add your text and tap the “Add voice” icon in the top left where you can find four voices to choose from. It could be better, making your post-production easier and easier.

Content creators can also now include an “Add yours” sticker on their Shorts to inspire audiences with their own related content. YouTube will gradually introduce this over the coming weeks. 

As it is Minecraft’s 15th anniversary, YouTube recently launched two new effects in Shorts. Minecraft Spring transports you right into the world of Minecraft. However, Minecraft Rush is a new mini game to play in the Shorts player.

YouTube said that soon, influencers will be able to add auto-generated captions directly to their content to make Shorts more engaging, accessible, and helpful for people watching on mute.

YouTube has launched a few remixing tools already and it just introduced the option to remix a remix.

AI updates

YouTube recently updated its privacy policy. This policy now allows users to request the removal of AI-generated content. According to the new policy on privacy violations, users can flag videos that use AI to create or modify content resembling the user in appearance or voice.

YouTube’s updated policy says that this issue is a breach of privacy rather than misleading content. There are exceptions for minors, individuals without computer access, and deceased persons. Upon receiving a complaint, YouTube will give the alleged violator 48 hours to take action. If the content is removed within this timeframe, the case will be closed. After reviewing the complaint, YouTube will take action if the creator fails to take any action.

As stated on YouTube’s support page, the new policy states, “If someone has used AI to alter or create synthetic content that looks or sounds like you, you can request its removal. To qualify for removal, the content should depict a realistic altered or synthetic version of your likeness.”
