A contestant from India’s Got Latent, Jessy Nabam, is now facing legal trouble after a First Information Report (FIR) was filed against her over comments made on the show. The controversy erupted when host Samay Raina asked Jessy if she had eaten dog meat. In response, she stated that while she personally had not, people in Arunachal Pradesh do consume it. This statement did not sit well with many, especially within the Arunachal Pradesh community. Armaan Ram Welly Bakha formally lodged an FIR on January 31, 2025, at the Itanagar Police Station.

This show is known for its unfiltered and bold format and has been widely appreciated for giving contestants a platform. However, this reminds us of the responsibility that comes with content creation, particularly when addressing cultural sensitivities.

Ranveer Allahbadia’s Provocative Question

Adding fuel to the fire, YouTuber and podcaster Ranveer Allahbadia appeared on “India’s Got Latent” and posed a controversial question to a contestant. He asked, “Would you rather watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life, or would you join in once and stop it forever?” This question quickly went viral, drawing widespread criticism for its inappropriate nature.

Samay Raina and the other panellists responded to Ranveer Allahbadia’s question with amusement and laughter, which triggered numerous reactions.
